Metrofuser’s Flash-It™ Restores Life to HP 806, 830 Fusers
New tool extends the life of the fusers and maximizes consumables.
Laser printer parts manufacturer Metrofuser (www.metrofuser.com) has introduced its new Flash-It – a new solution that extends the life of the HP M806, M830 fusers. This patent pending technology has the potential to save service companies thousands.
The HP LaserJet M800 series printers are programmed to generate an error message reading “REPLACE FUSER” when the page count hits 200,000 pages. The only way to remove that message and restore the lifecycle, up to now, has been to purchase a costly new fuser.
The Flash-It will set the fuser life to 100% and clear the “REPLACE FUSER” message. This will allow the printer to continue to utilize the existing fuser far beyond the 200,000 pages. “One of the added benefits,” said Will DeMuth, Metrofuser’s Chief Operating Officer, “is that you can flash the lifecycle at any point. You don’t have to wait for the error message. Technicians will be able to flash and synchronize fleets allowing scheduled maintenance rather then crisis management.”
The Flash-It saves companies thousands of dollars in consumables and service calls. DeMuth predicts that Flash-It is essential for dealers and service companies who have devices in MPS environments.
