Problems that cause the tray 2 overfilled message or 13.B2 D2 error code.

1. If the RM2-6772 Separation roller is not properly installed.

2. If the RM2-6771 paper pickup assembly is damaged or jammed.

3. If the RM2-1275 paper pickup roller is not properly installed.

The problem has affected the following HP laser printers.

• M607 M608 M608 HP laser printers

• M652 M653 HP laser printers

• M631 M632 M633 HP laser printers

• M681 M682 HP laser printers

• E60055 E60065 E60075 E60155 E60165 E60175 E62555 E62565 E62575 E62655 E62665 E62675 HP laser printers

Solution

Unplug the printer and remove the paper tray and feeders. Rotate the printer on its back to allow you access to the paper pickup area under the printer. Locate the separation roller assembly RM2-6772 located on the bottom of the printer. Locate the RM2-1275 paper pickup roller assembly. Photos below;

Solving The 13.B2.D2 Error Code and The Tray 2 Overfill Message On HP Laser Printers.

1. Remove the 500 sheet paper tray.

2. Open roller access cover to inspect the position of the separation roller.

3. Reconned the RM2-6772 separation roller by sliding to the right so it locks into place.

4. Inspect the position of the paper pickup roller assembly.

5. Reconned the RM2-1275 paper pickup roller assembly so it locks into place.

6. Test the roller engaging arm which is a white lever located to the left of the separation roller assembly.

7. Test the paper out sensor arm which is a white lever located to the right of the separation roller assembly.

8. Test them by hand by pressing them gently.

9. If with either arm is inoperative the entire paper pickup assembly will need to be replaced.
