HP LaserJet 4250 4350 4350, P4014 P4015 P4515, M601 M602 M603 Improper Fusing After Replacement

Improper Fusing After Fuser Assembly Replacement

The HP LaserJet’s 4250 4300 4350, P4014 P4015 P4515 and the M601/M602/M603 can, at times after fuser replacement, exhibit issues with improper fusing.

The fuser in all laser-based devices uses heat and pressure to “melt” the plastic particles of the toner into the media (paper). If sufficient heat is not applied, the toner will not adhere to the paper properly, causing image quality issues.

This especially occurs on thicker media such as envelopes or letter head. Sometimes, just a simple toner cartridge replacement can resolve the issue. In most cases though, it is related to improper heat temperature of the fuser assembly.
