Use these instructions on the HP CP4020 CP4025 CP4525, CM4540 M680 M651 LaserJet Printers if the installation of the new transfer kit fails to reset the page count on the printer.

1. Turn the printer OFF

2. Check the NEW ITB SENSOR, when you remove the image transfer belt you can see a small black plastic flag close to the cyan toner catridge on the right side (close to the back of the printer) use your finger to check if it can move, use a compressed air can to clean it, it is a photo sensor and it is gets dirty easily.

• With the Transfer Belt removed, keep it in the same orientation as when you put it in the printer. Look at the right side of the belt. You will see a small white round piece with a tab sticking out. When you turn that small white piece (Alienation Gear)with the tab it turns a gear opposite it on the right side and it is next to this gear that the black flag will drop down (it will match the spot where the NEW ITB SENSOR will intersect when installed). You need to spin the small white round piece (Alienation Gear) in a clockwise direction. Use whatever fits. Watch the slot just below it and you'll see a black plastic flag drop down. Continue to turn it slowly until the flag starts to lift up again. Turn it until the flag is just protruding slightly. This is more easily done if the belt is at 45 degrees rather than at 90 degrees as shown in the picture so you don’t accidentally trip the flag

• Reinstall the belt. Power the printer up and watch the display. If it goes to calibrate, then you were successful.
